The National Recruitment Agency Common Eligibility Test (NRACET) will conduct the NRA CET Test for all railway posts from September 2021. The newly set up National Recruitment Agency has been entrusted with the preliminary Tests for all government jobs, Public Sector Banks, and Railways.
NRA CET Railway Tests
NRA will conduct the CET Tests for all Non-Gazetted Posts in Railway Zones, Including Northern Railway, Southern Railway, and Western Railway. The Common Eligibility Test for all railway posts under the NRA CET will save a lot of time and human resources.
Selection Process
The NRA proposes to conduct the preliminary screening of applicants, and the remaining selection process will be handled by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The RRB will shortlist the candidates based on NRA CET scores and complete the remaining selection process like job aptitude tests and Interviews. Further the NRA will handle the translation of question papers into regional languages based on the job profiles and requirements. A candidate who scores the highest score in both the exams will be selected for the final examination, which may include a personality test and a skills test.
NRA CET Railway Tests Levels
The NRA proposes to conduct various CET tests for Group-B Non-Gazette Posts, Group- C Posts Non-Technical Posts, and All Clerical Posts. The different levels of tests proposed are given below
- Matriculate(10th) Level CET
- Higher Secondary(12th) Level CET
- Diploma Level CET
- Graduate Level
The candidates will be shortlisted based on the CET score, and the final selection will be based on the performance in the Railway Board’s examinations.
Registration for NRA CET Railway
The Applicants can register themselves on the NRA CET Portal for the tests and choose the test centers. The NRA plans to conduct the tests in each districts of the country to help all society sections.
The validity of the NRA CET Railway Score
The CET NRA score will be valid for three years. There is no cap on the number of attempts.
How to Apply for NRA CET Railway Jobs?
NRA will publish the CET notification for the vacant posts on its portal and leading newspapers. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the NRA CET Tests through the National Recruitment Agency Portal. NRA will issue the Registration Number to the qualified candidates and communicate the test details through the registered email.
The NRA will conduct the Common Eligibility Test, and the Railway Recruitment Board will hold the final selection based on the candidates’ performance in the final examinations.
